All levels above Mites compete within the Edmonton Youth Basketball Association (EYBA). For the 2017/18 season, games start on September 30th and run to the end of February (for levels below Juvenile). Each team has one 90 minute practice session per week (see team pages for practice schedules).
Each team's game schedule is determined by the EYBA. Games are typically played on Saturdays in Edmonton and surrounding communities, however teams may play the occasional Friday night, Sunday game, or Saturday double-header.
Mites (born 2009-2011)
Our Mites program is a great way for kids to begin to learn the fundamentals of basketball, develop an early love for the sport, and be more prepared to join our Mini teams. The Mites do not play any league games, however it may be possible to arrange the occasional fun game against Mites from other zones in lieu of a practice night. There is also a half-day Mites Tournament in Edmonton in March included with the registration fee. Each player will receive a personalized t-shirt to keep and wear in the Mites Tournament. The Mites program is co-ed, meaning that boys and girls will be placed on the same team.
Minis (born 2007-2008) | Bantams (born 2005-2006) | Midgets (born 2003-2004)
These teams are all gender specific, meaning that we have separate boys and girls teams. These teams play both the fall and winter seasons, running to the end of February.
Juveniles (born 2000-2002)
The Juvenile teams are gender specific, meaning that we have separate boys and girls teams. The Juveniles only play the fall season, packing around 9-10 games into their season before it wraps up in mid-November.
